Eastern Anatolian,Gaziantep and Malatya Kurdish weavings are a group that is easily recognizable by their fine weave and clear precise colours .They are distinguished by rich colours of indigo blues, madder reds ,and oranges, yellows, apricots and pinks for the filler motifs . Kurdish carpets and kilims exhibit strong bold geometric designs containing variations of hexagon, diamond and hooked lozenge or medallions.Weavings include rugs, kilims, grain sacks and donkey and camel bags that were made for a young womans marriage dowry.
