A central Anatolian agricultural town, Aksaray area has produced many fine kilims,though it cannot claim, as can other regions, very distinctive kilim compositions, and those which appear are often composite arrangements of motifs that bear a greater association with other places,particularly Konya. Colours are in general, of a slightly darker palette than Konya kilims, using aubergine, reds, greens,and autumnal tones. These commonly large, rectangular kilims are usually slitwoven, and in some cases the weaving is very fine, using tightly spun, shiny wool.
 
Our vintage pieces are all preloved and due to the age and/or handmade nature of these items, minor signs of patination,fading, wear, or slightly asymmetrical lines may be present.These are not considered flaws, they are part of their unique nature and why we love using them in our homes as they add both character and charm.
