These beautiful kilims were hand made by young nomadic women in the village of Cal outside Denizli in Western Turkey. They are known for their bold geometric designs and pastel tones as well as their reasonable prices.
The symbols used on all kilims have special meanings and can reflect the weaver;s desire for protection, abundance, happiness, fertility, etc. A kilim this size would take 2-3 months to weave
