Rugs and beautiful slitweave kilims from Konya were made from at least the 17thC, many of which survive today and are greatly admired and sought after by collectors. Using fine weaving, lustrous wools,and a wonderfully complex palette of colours,as well as a variety of intricate designs, both the new and old Konya kilims are extremely asthetically pleasing.
